Happy birthday, Yayoi Kusama!

Kusama is a Japanese multimedia artist born on this day in 1929. Relocating to New York at the end of the 1950s, she immersed herself in the avant-garde scene, working alongside artists such as Andy Warhol. She’s done just about everything: Paintings, sculptures, installations, Pop Art, Art Brut, Minimalism, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism…
