    Salgado’s The Vietnamese Migration

A respected photojournalist, Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado has dedicated himself to chronicling the lives of the world’s downtrodden, presenting imagery that testifies to the human condition.

This particular image by Salgado, The Vietnamese Migration: the Beach of Vung Tau, shows the beach at Vung Tau, a fishing port near Ho Chi Minh City. It is probably from here that the largest number of ‘boat people’ left in search of a better life.
