Gallery Opening & BBQ
Berlin’s Galerie Barbara Thumm is opening a show of Christian Hoischen’s eclectic pictures with a BBQ party on September 11, 2012.
Hoischen’s paintings are a gently blurred, morbid combination of Gothic kitsch and Pop Art collage, with spots and smudges of color distributed across unpainted areas like informal footnotes. Even pictures straight from the studio give the impression of battered testaments to postmodernism.
