The Oval Office
The Oval Office is one of Roy Lichtenstein’s most desirable, iconic, and current prints!
The work was created in 1992, for the Artists for Freedom of Expression Project, to benefit the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Citizen Vote, and select candidates in that year’s election. The image was also reproduced as a campaign button.
In creating this magnificent print, Lichtenstein researched the interior of the Oval Office in the White House, incorporating some authentic decorative details, including paintings that had once hung there!
