Picasso Sold at Frieze
Pablo Picasso’s Homme et Femme au bouquet (1970) was among the first works to be sold at the inaugural Frieze Masters. The painting was sold at the stand of New York dealer Christophe Van de Weghe, and was purchased for US$8.5 million by a mystery US collector. According to Bloomberg, London fairs, galleries, and auction houses are testing demand with more than US$1.5 billion worth of art.
