Launched in 1996 by Malini Gulrajani, 1x1 Art Gallery has established itself as a hub of Indian Contemporary Art in Dubai. Located in a warehouse in Dubai’s Al-Quoz district, the gallery provides established and emerging artists with a platform for projects and exhibitions.
If you’re en route to India Art Fair, then visiting 1X1 Art Gallery (Booth No: B4) is a must for a look at a fantastic selection of Indian and Middle Eastern artists.
“We are proud to exhibit in Delhi works by artists like Mohammed Kazem and Patricial Millins who are some of the most experimental and innovative artists of the Emirates and Christiana de Marchi a young artist who works intensively on embroideries using a variety of objects and materials,” said gallery owner Malini Gulrajani.
India Art Fair
“We really wanted to create a platform for art in India, because the market was new and the infrastructure was limited….really, we wanted to build awareness of the great potential and talent in India. It became clear that a healthy art market could only be achieved through a long-term effort to engage new audiences,” said India Art Fair founder, Neha Kirpal.

Art Stage Singapore, which opened to the public yesterday, has already attracted big name collectors including Uli Sigg, who earlier donated and sold a major part of his collection of Chinese Contemporary Art to M+ visual culture museum, Prince Maximilian of Liechtenstein, and German collector Nanni Burchardi.
So far, the fair has been reporting healthy sales; some galleries even sold six-figure artworks!

The new ArteFiera, the largest Italian fair devoted to Modern and Contemporary Art, opens today in beautiful Bologna. This year’s edition marks the debut of two new artistic directors for the exhibition, Italian art experts Giorgio Verzotti, for Contemporary Art, and Claudio Spadoni, for Modern Art.
We are especially looking forward to the ArteFiera Conversations, panels, talks, and debates, which are happening thanks to even stronger synergy with Bologna and its cultural institutions.
