We were out and about previewing São Paulo’s sp-arte last night.
Held at the famous Pavilhão Ciccillo Matarazzo, a 15,000 square foot architectural icon designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the fair showcases the best selection of Brazilian and international Modern and Contemporary masters.

Affordable Art Fair
We’re proud to be partnering with the New York City Affordable Art Fair!
The 15th edition of the Affordable Art Fair will take place this spring, from April 3 to 7, at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea.
Showcasing over 80 Contemporary Art galleries with work by hundreds of artists, priced from under US$100 to up to US$10,000, there is definitely something for every budget and taste! In between browsing the aisles, the fair offers daily programming (tours, artist talks, and kid’s workshops over the weekend), an onsite café, and complimentary wrapping for any artwork that is purchased, if you do find something you absolutely can’t live without!
This week, we’re looking forward to one of the most beautiful art fairs, Art Paris Art Fair, which will run from March 28 to April 1, 2013.
Taking place at the Grand Palais (pictured), Art Paris Art Fair brings together 144 galleries from 20 countries, with Russia as this year’s guest of honor.
Around 11 galleries from a number of cities in Russia, including Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Rostov on Don, and Vladivostok, will be showing at this year’s fair. Additionally, around 20 European galleries will show work by Russian artists. With around 90 artists represented, Art Paris Art Fair will be an opportunity to discover or rediscover Russian Art from the 1930s to the most contemporary production.
If you can’t go to TEFAF Maastricht this weekend, watch our short videos from the 25th edition of the European Fine Art Fair. Get a feel of the art buzz and the artworks; nude artworks by Modern and Contemporary artists, Van Gogh masterpieces, and Old Masters are featured below.
We are already looking forward this year’s TEFAF Maastricht, which is considered to be the world’s leading art and antiques fair. From March 14 through 25, 2013, 265 dealers from 19 countries will bring the best of their collections to Maastricht, in the southern part of the Netherlands. TEFAF’s strict vetting is conducted by 175 experts in 29 disciplines. The authenticity, quality, and condition of each artwork are carefully examined before the fair opens to the public.
The 2013 edition will host a loan exhibition of rarely seen drawings by Vincent van Gogh. The 15 drawings loaned by the Amsterdam Van Gogh Museum have been specially chosen to illustrate van Gogh’s development as an artist!
Take a look at some of the galleries that we’re looking forward to seeing at the fair.
The Armory Show is in an especially celebratory mood this year, as 2013 marks the 100th anniversary of the groundbreaking fair! The first edition of the fair had changed the course of art history by introducing American audiences to Marcel Duchamp and other figures of the European avant garde.

In his early work, Cragg incorporated found materials, such as pieces of plastic, detritus from construction sites, and household wares, into his sculptures. In more recent works, Cragg has used traditional materials, such as bronze and wood, producing tall, sleek works with a rippled texture, conveying motion and animation.
An exciting new spring season kicks off this week with Armory Arts Week, which runs from March 5 to 10. This week is all about celebrating the city’s artistic communities and highlighting the art scene with different events each night; the city that never sleeps will be even more energized!
We’re excited to be partnering with Volta NY 2013, a platform for challenging, often complementary, and sometimes competing ideas about Contemporary Art.
This year, Volta is debuting its new location, a gorgeous hardwood 19th-century loft building at 82 Mercer in SoHo. In a boutique-like setting, the fair is offering an opportunity for discoveries beyond those afforded by a traditional art fair by refocusing on artists through solo projects.
London’s newest art fair, Art13London, has finally opened in a Grand Palais-like, elegant 19th-century structure.
Art13London is the first modern and contemporary art fair in London to showcase an equal amount of galleries from around the world, with a major presence from Asia and Africa, as well as Europe and the Americas.

With New York going into art fair mode—the spring brings the ADAA Art Show, the Armory Show, Frieze New York, and dozens of satellite events—it’s a perfect time to throw the spotlight on the city’s artists.
We’re very excited to be partnering with SCOPE, which returns to New York City in 2013 with a distinguished landmark venue: Skylight at Moynihan Station. SCOPE is part of an elite group selected to host a series of highly curated events in New York City’s iconic former post office.
This year, the fair is featuring 55 international galleries alongside 20 Breeder Program galleries from four continents and 18 countries, representing the best and brightest contemporary work from emerging artists.
SCOPE New York opens to Press and VIP’s on Wednesday, March 6, with the First View benefit. The fair will run from March 7 to 10, 2013.
Highlights from TEFAF
The European Fine Art Fair, renowned for its commitment to excellence, expertise, and elegance, will entice with a fabulous array of art, antiques, and design pieces this year.
More than 260 of the world’s finest art, antiques, and design dealers will bring the very best of the best to the 2013 edition of TEFAF Maastricht, which will take place from March 5 to 24, 2013.
We are particularly looking forward to masterpieces from the Van Gogh Museum, which are to be loaned to TEFAF Maastricht for a special exhibition during the fair! This is a delight, since the Van Gogh Museum rarely exhibits works from its collection of drawings by Vincent van Gogh, because they are so fragile.

This week, we’re looking forward to Spain’s premier exhibition, ARCOmadrid.
Originally organized for the Spanish speaking market in 1982, ARCOmadrid now brings together over 160 galleries from 20 countries around the world, displaying everything from historical avant-garde pieces to classic Contemporary Art and Emerging Art!
